BAR-B-QUED CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS

Some days you crave a crispy but moist piece of chicken and this is the perfect recipe. Cook this for your next family gathering or make it at your next tailgating party with your buddies.

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 10 chicken drumsticks
  • ½ cup Gates Classic Barbecue sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Gates Hot-n-Spicy seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh Rosemary, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh Oregano, chopped
  • 2 tsp Dry ground mustard
  • 2 Tbsp Stone ground mustard
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive Oil

 

PREPARATION:

  • Combine fresh spices and all ingredients with the barbecue sauce
  • Drizzle oil over drumsticks and brush sauce mixture on all sides of drumsticks
  • Let the drumsticks marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes
  • Preheat your Traeger Grill to 400 degrees
    • Place your Cast Iron skillet into the grill to heat
  • When ready to cook, remove skillet from grill
    • add oil and drumsticks
  • place skillet back into Traeger and grill for 20 to 25 minutes
    • basting the chicken with barbecue sauce as needed

Serve with rice and your choice of sides
